Training on Air Dryers

Even for these, if you need to break into the refrigeration system you need a valid "F Gas" qualification (City and Guilds/Construction Skills).
We offer a full range of short courses depending on your experience and most can be held at our Training Centre or on site (where there are suitable facilities).

As a guide:

Experienced Engineers who just need an 'F Gas' qualification
1, 2 or 3 day refrigerant handling courses. 1 day, assessment only, 2 days for extra theory and 3 days for extra practical and theory. All assume prior knowledge of the refrigeration system and some practical skills but (apart from the 1 day course) there is a chance to practice first.

Less experienced engineers or engineers fairly new to this type of work
5/10 day courses including basic refrigeration theory and fault finding as well as refrigerant handling:

5 days
Service and maintain this type of equipment. Basic theory and practical work, fault finding and refrigerant handling.

10 days
Service, maintain and install this type of equipment. Basic theory and practical work, fault finding and installation techniques. Engineers will take their 'F Gas' refrigerant handling qualification but will also take their Construction Skills Pipework and Brazing qualification (commercial or industrial level as required).

All the courses can be tailored to meet your specific needs. We are happy to train your engineers on your equipment and we can incorporate this into a course run at PRTC, or we are able to do this on site where companies have a group of engineers requiring training and suitable lecture and workshop facilities available.
