A whole raft of changes to the City and Guilds 6090 RACHP apprenticeship courses to make your learning experience even better.

You talked – we listened . . .

After a fairly turbulent 2 years, with constant disruptions from Covid, 2022 seemed an ideal opportunity to look at how the City & Guilds 6090 RACHP qualification was being delivered and if we could improve it. Taking on board what everyone had been saying and using your ideas where possible we have made the following changes already:

Revised syllabus
• Changing the order topics are covered
• Introducing some things earlier in the course so there is more time to cover them
• Trying to make the transition from level 2 to level 3 much more gradual and not such a steep learning curve

New Course Notes
Being completely rewritten to bring them bang up to date and with some modules completed already you can look forward to:
• A clear, straightforward layout for easier learning
• Topics following the classwork more closely
• Use of IT wherever possible – look out for QR codes for easy access to reference material
• Increasing use of Learn Assist to enable you to access information wherever you are

New Equipment
• Continuing update of tools to enable you to use the latest equipment
• New Air Conditioning equipment to give everyone the chance to learn theory and practical skills on this type of application

New Posters
• Posters are now being put up in the lecture rooms to provide a reminder of essentials like the Gas Laws - unfortunately these can’t be put up in the exam room . . .

Still plenty to do but we hope everyone will benefit from the changes being introduced. We always welcome your ideas so if you think of anything else just talk to your tutor.
