Training Update – We’re open and looking forward to seeing you -

We’re open, new facilities, new courses – read on ...

We’re open...
Following government guidelines, we’re open and running the courses you need. Extra measures have been in place during the pandemic, including a one way system in and out of the Centre, staggered breaks and extra cleaning, to ensure your safety and ours. As restrictions ease we are still continuing to keep things as safe as possible. Check the calendar and/or ring the office to find out more. (Can’t fit anything else in this year? Don’t worry! Our 2022 calendar is being designed now and should be available in the next few weeks.)

New Facilities
Starting a couple of years ago, in between the recent lockdowns and despite all the problems over the last 12 months, we’ve been busy! Much has now been completed providing a brand new entrance at the front of the building, new computer and assessment rooms and modern toilet and shower facilities to name just a few.

Just completed and in use already is our new End Point Assessment Centre. Situated downstairs away from the main training area, this self-contained unit already has a bespoke room and equipment to fulfil the requirements for the City and Guilds 6090-50 Trailblazer End Point Assessments. Two more self-contained rooms and rigs are planned for the Autumn (one is nearly complete now) to enable up to three candidates to be assessed at once.

New Courses

Available now:

DSEAR – Awareness and Compliance
A one day course to discuss the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmosphere’s regulations, how to comply and how to prepare risk assessments.
Can be held at PRTC, as a webinar or in-house (subject to government guidelines).

Ammonia Awareness
A half day course covering the essential basic knowledge for anyone working in ammonia plant rooms.
Can be held at PRTC, as a webinar or in-house (subject to government guidelines).

Planned for later this year:

The City and Guilds 6187-21 Carbon Dioxide qualification.
Still at the design and build stage, specialist training rigs will enable training and assessments to be carried out using this increasingly popular, ‘natural’ refrigerant.
We’ll keep you posted but to express an interest please ring us now and we can send out more detailed information once it’s available.
