HYDROCARBON COURSE

The City and Guilds 6187-21 Hydrocarbon qualification is now available from PRTC.

Initially being run as a one day course for experienced engineers this will provide operatives with a recognised qualification in the safe handling of hydrocarbons and their safe use in hydrocarbon RAC systems.
Full details can be found in the course synopsis (see under City and Guilds Refrigerant Handling courses) but with the increasing emphasis on the use of 'natural' refrigerants, City and Guilds have now developed this stand alone module to provide a recognised qualification for this important group of refrigerants.

Covering many aspects of the use, storage and transportaton of hydrocarbons including regulations and codes of practice, commissioning and de-commissioning procedures and the differnces between hydrocarbon and halocarbon RAC systems this qualification teaches good working practices and, above all, safety when coping with the potential hazards of these chemicals.

Scheduled dates have now been put on the calendar but places will be limited so contact us now to make sure you don't miss out. Additional dates may be made available where companies have a group of engineers requiring this training.

For anyone less experienced, we are also developing longer courses - more information on these later in the Summer.
