PAT Testing C & G 2377-22

Introduction

Replacing the City and Guilds 2377-12 qualification, the new QCF 2377-22 provides a level 3 qualification for in service inspection and testing of electrical equipment (PAT).

It is important that candidtes should be familiar with electrical systems and the hazards of electricity. Anyone without a formal pre-existing qualification, such as the Level 3 Electro Technical NVQ, must be able to demonstrate adequate prior knowledge and experience to ensure they have the potential to sucessfully gain the qualification.

Objective

To achieve the City and Guilds 2377-22 Level 3 In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT Testing)

or

To achieve the City and Guilds 2377-32 Level 3 Management Requirements for the Maintenance of electrical Equipment.

Methodology

A mixture of presentations and discussion sessions will be reinforced by practical work to ensure candidates receive the necessary underpinning knowledge and practical skills.

The assessment for the 2377-22 is by means of a practical test and an on-line multiple choice question paper.

The assessment for the 2377-32 is one on-line theory test.
