Service, Maintenance and Installation with Copper Brazing and Ref Handling
Course
Duration:
10 day(s).
Introduction
A good knowledge of correct service and installation techniques will enhance plant operation and reliability. The Combined Service and installation course is aimed at technicians in the refrigeration industry to improve and update service and installation skills, coupled with an understanding of the principles of refrigeration.

The course also covers the practical skills and knowledge necessary for the City and Guilds 2079 (Category 1) or C.Skills J11 refrigerant handling qualification and the C.skills Pipework and Brazing qualification.

Copper brazing is becoming an increasingly important part of good refrigeration practice and is now included in the 'F Gas' refrigerant handling assessments. The c.Skills qualification ensures candidtes achieve a recognised skill level in this discipline. The new 'F Gas' qualifications (City and Guilds 2079 Category 1 or C.Skills J11) enable candidates to acquire the most up to date refrigerant handling qualifications which meet the needs of the new legislation. City and Guilds 2079 is valid for life or until superseded, C.Skills qualifications are valid for five years after which they will need to be renewed.

Basic mechanical skills are assumed for this course.
Objective
To atain a basic understanding of the principles of refrigeration and to learn service, installation and commissioning skills including the skills and knowledge necessary to attain the C.Skills Pipework and Brazing and an 'F Gas' Category 1 Refrigerant Handling qualification.
Methodology
The topics will be covered with emphasis on practical work from the delegate. Basic theory will be demonstrated using a visual refrigeration unit. Theoretical work will be assisted by the use of good quality visual iads and discussion session.
