Introduction
A good knowledge of correct service and maintenance techniques will enhance plant operation and reliability.

The Service, Maintenance and Refrigerant Handling course is aimed at technicians in the refrigeration industry to improve and update service and maintenance skills, coupled with an understanding of the principles of refrigeration. the course also covers the practical skills and knowledge necessary for either the City and Guilds 2079 (Category 1) or the c.Skills J11 Refrigerant handling qualifications and an assessment will be carried out at the end of the course.

Basic mechanical skills are assumed for this course.
Objective
To attain a basic understanding of the principles of refrigeration and diagnosis of common faults and to learn service skills and acquire the knowledge and practical skills ne4cessary to achieve an 'F Gas' Category 1 qualification in Refrigerant Handling (either city and Guilds or C.Skills).
Methodology
The topics will be covered with emphasis on practical work from the delegate. Basic theory will be assisted by the use of good quality visual aids and discussion sessions.
