Maintenance and Leak Testing
Course
Duration:
3 day(s).
Introduction

In order to obtain full efficiency and reliability, correct maintenance procedures are essential. In addition, it is now becoming mandatory to carry out regular leak tests on refrigeration plants.

The Maintenance course, combined with Category 4 Leak Testing (either City and Guilds 2079 or C.Skills) provides maintenance staff with an insight into the principles of refrigeration, the correct operation of the system to optimise running costs and the skills and knowledge to carry out routine leak tests on refrigeration plant. the City and Guilds 2079 Category 4 or C.Skills J14 Leak Testing assessment will be taken at the end of the course.
Objective

To attain a basic understanding of the principles of refrigeration and diagnosis of common faults and acquire the knowledge and practical skills necessary to achieve an F Gas Category 4 qualification in Leak Testing (either City and Guilds or Construction Skills).
Methodology

The topics will be covered with a mixture of practical observation and practical work by the candidate using fully operational systems. Theoretical work will be assisted by the use of good quality visual aids and discussion sessions.
